Mary Murphy

Mary Murphy passed away 11/01/2025 in Wichita Falls Texas after a prolonged chronic illness at age 65.
She is survived by her two brothers, sister, sister-in-law, and stepfamily.
Mary was born 02/20/1960 in Oklahoma City but was raised and lived the majority of her life in Midwest City, where she excelled in her education, ultimately completing with a bachelor's degree in business administration from OU.
She served in the administrative unit for the 1990 Census local office for two years and was an early hire when AOL came to Oklahoma City. She was a member of the online security unit, Community Action Team, when her health caused her to retire.
Mary loved movies, music and her passion was reading. Anything, particularly romances but anything. Hide your books if you want to keep them.
Over the last twenty years, Mary's health was the focus of her life, due to ongoing challenges with Rheumatoid Arthritis and complications. Ultimately, she moved to TX due to her needs. At KPC Promise/Swan Health, she found not only the physical help she needed but a new community. Mary was active in the social life of the facility, planning, made many good friends and was recently elected to the Residents Council.
