Mary A. Myers, age 80 of Germantown, OH a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 11, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1943, in Dayton, OH to the late Omar and Letha (Lawson) Gudgell, graduated from Mason County High School in Maysville, KY and attended Wesley United Methodist Church (now, Germantown Methodist Church).
Mary had a sweet personality and always had a smile on her face. She truly knew how to live life to the fullest and found joy in the simple pleasures. One of her favorite pastimes was going to the casinos and trying her luck at gambling. She also enjoyed listening to music, which held a special place in Mary's heart. Mary cherished time spent with her family above all else. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She created beautiful memories with each member of her family and treasured the moments they shared together.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband George "Billy" Myers, her daughter Rhonda Boyer, and her sisters Margaret Walker and Diana Sams. Mary is survived by her son William "Buddy" (Tina) Myers; granddaughter Tonya (Ben) Ramsey; grandson Zach Myers; granddaughter Bobbi Jo (Jim) Pelphrey; as well as her great-grandchildren Landon, Lucas, Aubrey, and Ezra as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
There will be a visitation for Mary on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Arpp, Root, Carter Funeral Home located at 29 N. Main Street in Germantown, OH. Funeral services will be private, with burial at Holp Cemetery in Farmersville.
Mary's journey may have come to an end, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.
