Mary Gervase Mygrant 93, Peru, Indiana, passed away at 3:42 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru, Indiana.
She was born on March 8, 1931 in Loree, Indiana, the daughter of Claude Z. and N. Alice (LeMasters) Anderson. She graduated from Clay Township High School in 1949. On September 30, 1951 in Mexico, Indiana, she married Elbert Earl “Bud” Mygrant. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2002.
Mary retired from Delco Electronics and had been a homemaker. She had been a longtime member of the Mexico Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed canning, gardening, traveling and for many years, along with her husband, wintering in Florida.
Survivors include her children, Dennis E. (Becky) Mygrant, Idaville, Indiana, Ted Mygrant, Peru, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Pam Mygrant, Peru, Indiana, son-in-law, Daniel Wells, Bronson, Michigan, fourteen grandchildren, thirty- one great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild soon to arrive, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Rodney Mygrant, daughter, Cathy Alice Mygrant Wells, daughter-in-law, Lori Mygrant, brothers, Lowell E. Anderson and Carleton Z. Anderson.
Funeral services will take place at Noon, Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Mexico Church of the Brethren, Mexico, Indiana. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. to Noon Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements by McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.
