Miss Mary P. O'Doherty

WORCESTER-Mary P. O'Doherty, 92, passed away on Saturday, May 12th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center after being stricken ill. Mary leaves her brother, Monsignor Jude O'Doherty of Miami, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, cousins living here and in Ireland. She was predeceased by four brothers, Martin "Joe", Thomas, Garrett and Stephen O'Doherty and her sister, Betty Dalton. Mary was born in Clohanes, Co. Clare, Ireland a daughter of Charles and Mary (Cahill) O'Doherty. She immigrated to the United States on October 2, 1947 and came to Worcester to her Uncle Gilbert Cahill and family. Mary worked at the David Clark Company in Worcester for thirty years. The O'Doherty family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Goddard House staff for their incredible care. Mary was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 17th at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Her burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Funeral arrangements are in the care of CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Building Fund, 1222 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603.
