Mary T O'Reilly

Mary T O'Reilly (Holzman), age 87, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024. Mary was born, raised and educated in Boston.  After high school, Mary attended Saint Elizabeth's Nursing School where she earned her degree in nursing. She married the love of her life, Robert, in 1959 and they started their family in Dorchester and then settled in Weymouth in 1972.

Mary loved telling stories and reminiscing about the past with friends and loved ones. She and her husband Bob summered in Washington, Maine and spent winters in Ellenton, Florida.  She liked knitting, crocheting, golf, crossword puzzles and playing cards, especially with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling and was part of a bowling league for many years. In her downtime she liked to watch the Game Show Network, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Most of all Mary loved her family, she cherished her time with them and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Charles O'Reilly. She is survived by her loving children, JoAnne Manupelli and her husband Steven, of Whitman, Jacqueline Goldberg and her husband, Howard, of Norton, Theresa Monzione, and her husband, Rick, of Pembroke, Maureen MacMillan and her husband, Michael, of Weymouth, and Robert O'Reilly and his wife, Lacey, of Hull. Mary was also loved by her grandchildren, Ryan, Danny, Kelsey, Chris, Sarah, Sophie, Ronin, Paxton, CeCe, Burke and her great granddaughter, Reilly. She is predeceased by her sister, Peggy Russo and survived by her siblings, Jack Holzman, Ellen Reggio, Buddy Holzman, Jeanne Flight, Jim Holzman and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Mary on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 4-8pm, at the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St.(Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. Friends and relatives will gather the following morning for a Celebration of Life for Mary at 9:30am in the funeral home, prior to the Mass at St. Jerome's at 10:30.
