In memory of Mary Olsen-

Mary Olsen, age 77, of Andover, MN, entered into the presence of the Lord on December 11, 2025. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible. Mary was a woman whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unwavering trust in God’s plan.

Throughout her life, Mary Olsen embraced her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother with resolute dedication and love. Mary met her husband, Melvin Olsen, in 1970 at an evening church service in Anoka, MN. Melvin left to go to Vietnam just a few weeks later and Mary faithfully wrote to him while he was gone. They were married in 1971 when he returned home. Her family was the center of her world, and her nurturing spirit created a warm and loving home. Mary and Melvin had two children: Jacob (Heidi) and Sereen (Patrick) and seven grandchildren: Taia (Matt), Avynn (Graham), Kade, Kyler, Evie, Cale, and Adelle. Mary understood the significance of a family unified in the Lord and sought tirelessly to cultivate that. She found courage and strength in her faith, and she instilled these values in her children and grandchildren, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in the Lord always. She has left an incredible legacy of love and a fervor for Christ that her family will carry on.

Known for her kindness and compassionate nature, Mary Olsen touched the lives of those around her with grace and generosity. Mary attended Constance Free Church with her husband, Melvin and was an avid member of her bible study group, “Prime Time”. Mary continually looked for opportunities to bless others- family, friends and even people she didn’t know. Her commitment to her family and community left an indelible mark, and she will be remembered for the love she shared with all who knew her.

A celebration of Mary Olsen’s life will be held on December 22nd, 2025, at Constance Free Church 16150 Crosstown Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304 where we will gather to honor Mary’s memory and rejoice in the promise of everlasting life. There will be a viewing at 10:00 a.m., Service at 11:00 a.m. and a Luncheon directly after. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and support during this difficult time.

While we grieve Mary’s passing, we find solace in the hope of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that one day we will be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom. May her memory serve as a testament to the enduring power of Christ’s love and faith, grounded in truth.
