Opferman; loving mother of Mary Catherine (Ben) Downes, Paul (Allison) Opferman, Camille Opferman, John (Samantha) Opferman and Susan Opferman. Loving sister of Edward (Linda) Boyle, Beatrice Ann Hyatt, William (Barbara) Boyle, Jack (Cheryl) Boyle. Mary Alice was a devoted 2nd grade teacher and continued to teach CCD after retirement and sanctity of life was core to her belief system. She loved spending her time with family, reading, learning new things, holiday decorating, singing in the choir, doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, watching her Hallmark movies, playing the piano and going out to eat at the Olive Garden and Eat n’ Park. She enjoyed attending musicals and was known for making the best lasagna ever. Mary Alice was a devout Catholic and practiced prayer and self-reflection. She loved her country and only missed voting in two elections her entire life due to illness. She left an impression on everyone that she met, and she was always positive, peaceful and a great listener.
