Mary Barbara Ott (nee McBride) of Cherry Hill, NJ died December 26, 2025. Age 94.
She was known to everyone as "Barbara", Barbara worked at Kingston School for over 40 Years. During those years She had a profound and endearing effect on Thousands of students that walked those Halls. It is always amazing to see the eyes light up of a grown adult, As they realize she is the beloved "Mrs. Ott " they learned from and fondly Counted on from so many years ago.
Barbara was an excellent student herself, She graduated from PIERCE Business college in Philadelphia, After Graduation, she quickly rose up to Proudly become the Personal assistant to the President of the A.S.T.M. (American Society of Testing Materials).
Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Ott. She always accredited Jack with as she put it, "a Lot of the adventures she had". Together their adventures Included Racing their own Sailboats in over 40 Races, And then moving on to cruising sailboats Culminating in owning "HERITAGE", the 55' twin Masted Schooner, built in 1916. That allowed her children to Summer on the water. She and Jack then went on to Purchase Land in West Virginia, and built their Beloved Dream Vacation home.
She Loved to laugh, and would be the first to always offer to help anyone, anytime. It would be impossible to find any Person she did not treat with Courtesy and kindness, Nor any person that could ever have said anything negative about her.
Loving mother of John M. "Jack" Ott (Robin); Mark Ott, (Maggie); Joyce Egert (the late Richard) and Janet Figaro (nee Ott).
Devoted grandmother of Alan James, (Alyssa), Ashley Egert, Richard Egert, Jake Figaro, Madison Figaro and Chloe Figaro.
Viewing Wednesday January 7th from 10 to 10:45am in Christ Our Light Church, 402 N. Kings Highway,
Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 11am. Interment Brig. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery,
