Mary Linda Parrish

Mary Linda Moore Parrish, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Big Creek Cemetery in Irwin County, with the Rev. Ray Roberts officiating and a eulogy delivered by Mark Sutton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church sanctuary.

Mrs. Parrish was born March 8, 1944, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late H. and Evelyn Louise Sirmons Moore. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Parrish retired from Ben Hill County Schools as a teacher's aide. After retirement, she volunteered as a Pink Lady for Dorminy Medical Center and the Ben Hill County Board of Elections. She loved to read books and cut grass. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Fitzgerald Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son; Curt Parrish & Valerie of Fitzgerald; daughter, Sheila Branch of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Brian Branch & Sherry, Andy Branch, Shane Griner, Shawna Luke & Jeremy Fowler, Gregory Langston & Samantha and Chris Parrish; as well as numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Parrish and a daughter, Libby Parrish.
