Mary Andrews Polk, 78, of
Cantonment, Florida, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. Born on Wednesday, September 25, 1946, in Evergreen, Alabama, she was the beloved daughter of Roy and Theota Andrews.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.A. Polk; her siblings, Rebecca Andrews, James "Sonny" Andrews, Beverly Andrews Lowry, Willodean Andrews Ralls and Shirley Andrews Camp; and her great-granddaughter, Faith Nora Nobles. She leaves behind a loving family including her daughter Cathy (Mead) Nobles; her son Andrew Polk; her grandchildren Caitlin (Reese) Webb, Alex (Cha'Tae) Nobles, Chase (Alycia) Nobles, and Ray (Kennedi) Matthews; and her great-grandchildren Bennett and Catherine Webb. She is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mary dedicated many years to her work as a manager at Reynolds Hardware before transitioning later in life to a receptionist role at Emerald Cuts Salon. A long-time member of Scenic Hills Church of Christ, Mary's faith was a cornerstone of her life.
She found joy in cooking for her family and cherished summer trips to the beach with her siblings. Mary had a deep love for gospel music and admired Dolly Parton. She also enjoyed working in her yard and cheering on Alabama football.
Mary's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured by those she loved and those who loved her. May her legacy of love and devotion bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
