Mary Frances Poole

Mrs. Mary Frances Fisher Poole, 81 of Gold Hill passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Poole was born on August 28, 1929, daughter of the late Ralph Davis Fisher and Sarah Jane Hatley Fisher. She was a graduate of Millingport High School and was employed as a seamstress for Rowan Industries in Rockwell and also for RAGS. She was a lifetime member of Amvets Auxiliary and a member of Vanhoy Sells VFW Post 9134 and also attended Gold Hill Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Poole enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and word search puzzles and taking care of her pet and companion Bobby Joe. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Joe Max Poole, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Mrs. Poole is survived by her son, Joe Dearl Poole of Gold Hill, Jackie Poole of New London, daughters Sarah Poole Jones and husband Rick of Smyrna, Delaware, Gail Poole Parker and husband Toby of Badin, NC, Karen Poole Kluttz and husband Tony of Salisbury, Cindy Poole Huneycutt of Albemarle and 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The funeral will be at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel in Rockwell on Friday, December 31st at 2:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Buddy Hoffner, pastor Bible Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell. The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell on Friday, December 31st from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM and will be at the residense the remainder of the time.
