Mary Anne Poole Smith

Mary Anne Poole Smith, 90 1/2, of Laurens, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.
Mary Anne was the daughter of the late Roy David and Hattie Shipman Poole. Mary Anne retired as a cashier from Winn Dixie where she worked for 28 years and was a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking, cross stitching, the beach, and yard work.
She is survived by grandchildren: Sara Moore (Eric), Laura Bell (Shawn), and Liana Jones (Cam); great grandchildren: Emily Kate and Scarlett Moore, Bradlee and Nathan Bell, and Weston and Amelia Jones; and daughter-in-law, Dodi Poole.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by children: Larry David Poole, Paul Richard Smith, and Dale Robert Smith; sisters: Nancy Claudia Poole and June Poole Brattin; and grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann Smith and Melissa Renee Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 3:00 at Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Robert Brozina and Rev. Tom Malone, with burial following at the Highland Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
