Mary Pruner Obituary Mary Ellen Pruner, age 83, of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Mary Ellen was born February 10, 1942, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late George W. and Margaret (King) Latimer. She was a 1960 graduate of Union High School. Following high school, she attended Mansfield Beautician School, where she obtained her cosmetology license. On June 2, 1962, she married the love of her life, Marshall A. Pruner. In 1970, Mary Ellen and Marshall moved from Ashland to Shiloh, where they remained until her untimely passing.
Mary Ellen was a devoted homemaker dedicated to raising and nurturing her children and creating a warm and caring household for her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a welcoming environment. She was a loving wife and mother, always ensuring her family's needs were met. She was known for her arts and crafts skills and enjoyed immersing herself in different projects, many of which involved crocheting or knitting. Her loving and nurturing spirit will be missed by all that were blessed to have known her.
Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Marshall Pruner; three children, Greg Pruner of Howard, Ohio, Susan Pruner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Jason (Tiffany) Pruner of Virginia; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Nancy Latimer and Sandra (Duane) Niebel both of Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Pruner in 2023; and two brothers Paul and John Latimer.
Friends and family may visit at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby on May 21st from 10AM to 11AM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11AM. Her nephew, Pastor Keith Pruner will be officiating the service.
