Mary Helen "Salli" Redders, 86, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 2, 1939, in Columbia, South Carolina, Salli was the daughter of the late Geneva Cobb Horton and Lee Roy Horton.
Salli loved her children and grandchildren profoundly. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite vacation spot was anywhere in the mountains. She and her husband, Sonny, spent many years working with Shriners Children's Hospital. She also served in the Order of the Eastern Star. Salli was a big supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
As well as her parents, Salli was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma Jean Horton Buff and Bette Horton Kompanik; and her brother, Charles Brewer Horton.
Salli is survived by her husband, Claremont "Sonny" Redders; daughters, Joellen "Jodi" Redders and Katrina "Trina" Redders Thompson (David); and son, Kevin A. Redders (Tiffany), along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 1:30 PM-2:00 PM, and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek.
Following the service, the burial will be held at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S. Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. After the graveside service, all are invited to celebrate Salli's life at the Berkeley Shrine Club, 649 Lakeside Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, where food will be served.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Salli's name to St. Jude’s.
