Waltham – Mrs. Mary A. (Ferrelli) Richard, of Waltham, died on Wednesday April 24th, 2013 in the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 90. Mary was born in Waltham on December 1, 1922, a daughter of the late William and Anna Ferrelli. She graduated from Waltham High School in 1941 and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mary had an incredible work ethic and was a sales associate for over forty years at Filene's and then Macy's, working well into her eighties. She loved going to the theatre with her sister-in-law Joan, the Red Sox, a strong cup of Starbucks, a "piping hot" meal and spending time at the beach with her family. The wife of the late Ernest H. Richard, she leaves her son, William Richard and his wife, Bonnie, of Waltham and her granddaughters Emily and Molly Richard. She was the sister of the late James and Dominic Ferrelli. Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 26th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the One Fund Boston, Inc., 800 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02199.
