Mary Ringgold

Mary Teresa Ringgold was re-united with her departed husband on Jan 1, 2013. Born Feb 22, 1930 in New York City to George and Catherine Badarack, she grew up in the Bronx as an avid sports fan. Her father, whose family immigrated from Italy, instilled a love for Italian foods. After she met her husband, Lloyd E Ringgold from Levy while he was stationed in NY, the couple moved back to Arkansas. Although born in New York, she considered Arkansas her home. She was a homemaker as well as an LPN, raising a family with love and dedication. She is survived by her brother Joe (Ann) Badarack of Melbourne FL., her children Stephen (Christine) Ringgold, Kathy (Jim) Miller, Larry (Cheryl) Ringgold and Kenny (Gerri) Ringgold, her grandchildren Chris (Jennifer) Ringgold, Teri Ringgold, Travis (Kara) Foreman, Ty (Jeanelle) Foreman and Lindsey Ringgold, her great grandchildren Wyatt and Riley Foreman, Othella Keith her steadfast friend and her faithful canine companion Cookie. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping, cooking and sports – especially the Razorbacks (at times getting too nervous to watch) and all the New York teams. The family wishes to thank Dr Thomas Sneed and the Arkansas Oncology Clinic staff for their loving and care and support. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock, 7724 Landers Road with a funeral service on Saturday, January 5th 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. www.griffinleggettresthills.com
