Mrs. Mary Margaret Ringwald Stockdale, age 81, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on March 20, 1943 in
Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late John Norbert, Sr. and Helen Marie Hertz Ringwald. She was raised in Jefferson County and raised in the St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Shawe Memorial High School in
Madison, Indiana. On June 24, 1965 she was united in marriage at the St. Patrick Catholic Church to Ronald Philip Stockdale. This happy union of 59 years was blessed with four children, Karen, Beverly, Rick, and Donna. She was a beloved wife, devoted mom and grandma and enjoyed raising her children. She worked for Rex-Chain Belt for a time and then in the special services unit at Southwestern School Corporation. She last worked with the Jefferson County Courthouse Recorders Office under Betty Brawner. She enjoyed participating on the ladies' funeral committee at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was a faithful member. She was an avid IU Basketball fan, enjoyed puzzles, reading, watching Big Ten Basketball, watching the hummingbirds, playing cards, working in her flowers and caring for her grandchildren. Mary died on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 12:29 p.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in

A LOVING FAMILY
Mary will be missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Ronald Philip Stockdale of Hanover, Indiana; her daughters, Karen Durbin and her husband, Richard of Greenville, Indiana, Beverly Stockdale of Indianapolis, Indiana, Donna Birchfield and her husband, Charles of Charlestown, Indiana; her son, Richard "Rick" Stockdale and his wife, Jodi of Lexington, Indiana; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Jackson, William, Walker, and Allison; her brother, Patrick Ringwald and his wife, Brenda of Alabama; her sister in law, Velma Ringwald of Alabama; his sister in law, Brenda Stockdale Zimmerman and her husband, Dick of Georgia; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, John Norbert Ringwald, Sr., died October 31, 1970, her mother, Helen Marie Hertz Ringwald, died December 18, 1997, her sister, Frances Ann Ringwald, died August 21, 1947, her brother, John Norbert Ringwald, Jr., died July 2, 1999.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., by Father Christopher A. Craig at the St. Patrick Catholic Chapel, 305 West State Street in
