Mary Ann Roberts

Mary Ann Roberts, age 87, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living in Clarksville, TN of natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Bro. Richard Sexton officiating and burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Roberts was born on October 4, 1938, in Hopkinsville, KY, the daughter of the late Lindsey and Olive Nicholson Shanklin. Mary was a member of Parkway Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She did throughout her lifetime work for 8 years at Mid-Continent Spring Company and was the Property Manager of her Rental Properties. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Roberts in 2010; her four brothers, Kenneth, Gene, Joe, and Jesse Shanklin; and her sister Martha Shanklin Williams.

Survivors include her son, Pete (Sheila) Roberts of Clarksville, TN; her daughter, Tracey Roberts Hancock of Hopkinsville; her five grandchildren, Sydnee Hancock, Logan Hancock, Hadley Beth Hancock, Devin Roberts, Kayla (Daniel) Roberts Geary; her two great grandchildren, Dylan and Tanner Geary; and her three sisters, Nadine Shanklin Ellis of Hopkinsville, Sue Shanklin Duckett of Black Mountain, NC, and Carolyn Shanklin Wyatt of Hopkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Parkway Missionary Baptist Church.
