Vancouver, Washington - Mary Louise Rokkan, wife of Donald R. Rokkan, daughter of Garnet and Mary Spaulding, and sister of Thomas Spaulding all who preceded her in death passed away on February 13, 2023. Born in Pasco, WA a 1944 graduate of Pasco High, Mary Lou lived all her life in the Tri-Cities until 2021, before moving to Vancouver, WA to live with her daughter. Mary was fortunate to live in her home for 65 years, a home that Don built and had many happy memories and wonderful neighbors. Mary was active in Pasco High choir and yearbook. She enjoyed taking her camera everywhere and always took photos of family, classmates and friends. She never missed a class reunion serving on various reunion committees. Her classmates remained lifelong friends. Mary was Worthy Advisor of Pasco Rainbow Girls, Assembly 65, president of Gamma Mu chapter, Beta Sigma Phi in Kennewick and a Gamma Mu sweetheart. Baptized as a baby in the Methodist Church she became a lifelong member of the Pasco First United Methodist Church, also participating in the Tri-Cities Christian Women's Club and various book clubs. She retired from the Kennewick School District, Vista Elementary. Mary and Don were married in 1946 and celebrated 55 years of marriage before Don's passing in 2001. A blessing to so many with her kind, friendly and thoughtful ways. She leaves behind her children, Kris Rokkan Jacobs (Steve), Daniel Rokkan (Debbie), grandsons, Michael Jacobs, Bradley Rokkan, Matthew Curtis, and Brian Young, great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Hudson and Greta Jacobs, Dempsey and Tatum Rokkan, Kayden, Kendall, Maddox, and Jaxon Curtis, and Charlotte Young, nieces Marcia Bermers, Gina Baum and nephew Garnet Spaulding and many great nieces, nephews and special cousins Becky Cragoe Heberling and Mary Cragoe Brown.
