Mary G. Salgado

Mary G. Salgado, age 91, of Newark, DE, formerly of Ocean View, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

Born in Murtosa, Portugal, on October 23, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Miguel and Ascension (Lopes) Guiomar. Mary worked as a homemaker for many years, cherishing the time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Amaral. She is survived by her loving husband, Mario M. Salgado of Newark; daughters, Arlene A. Kelso of Newark and Kathy S. Wyka (Ken) of Lake George, NY; sister, Mariana Romao of North East, MD; 3 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 10:30 am on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Holy Angels R.C. Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will be held privately.
