Mary Scheel Rosing Kline of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away unexpectedly in late June, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 4, 1946.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Victor Scheel Rosing and Ruth Collins Rosing and her brother Michael Scheel Rosing, CSC. She is survived by her sister Kristina Scheel Rosing of Dayton, daughter Amanda Kline Wajszczuk, son-in-law Peter (PJ) Wajszczuk and grandchildren Karli and Connor all of Mishawaka. She is also survived by dear friends Becky Wajszczuk and Judy Krueger.
From a young age at Corpus Christi elementary school in Dayton, Mary loved music, singing and performing in school plays. After the family relocated to South Bend, Mary continued following her passion for the arts at St. Mary's Academy and Indiana University South Bend.
Mary was an amazing woman full of life with a heart of gold, caring deeply about family and friends. She never stopped singing, joining the River Bend Chorus Sweet Adelines of South Bend and performing locally with the group for over 25 years. A special highlight was performing at the famed Carnegie Hall in New York for its 100th Anniversary celebration. Most recently Mary sang as a member of the Clay United Methodist Church choir, always in the front row where all could see her smiling face.
Mary also enjoyed time with her family, attending all of her grandchildren's events including robotics competitions, musical productions and school awards ceremonies. And, of course, Mary was a true Notre Dame fan, attending football games as often as she could.
Mary's life will be celebrated August 23rd at Clay Church North campus, 52866 Ironwood Rd in South Bend. A visitation will take place at 10am, with service to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory can be made to the Clay Church choir or food pantry.
