Mary Catherine Shickle

Mary C. Shickle 90, of Fort Myers, FL died on July 13, 2023, at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice after an extended illness. Mary was born on October 28, 1932, in Troy, New York a daughter of the late George R. and Mary (Lanzillo) Pratt. She had been a resident of Southwest Florida for the past 30 years coming from Albany, NY.
After graduating in 1951 from Catholic Central High School in Troy, NY, she began working for the William's Press printing company as a secretary. She later joined the law firm of Tobin & O'Brien as a secretary and in 1985 finished her career with the Tobin & Dempf law firm as their office manager.
On May 7, 1955, she married the love of her life, Philip T. Shickle in Troy, NY. For a number of years, Mary and Philip lived on Fort Myers Beach where they were parishioners at the Church of the Ascension. Currently, they were attending the Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Philip T. Shickle, and three children, Thomas M. Shickle of Estero, FL, Timothy P. Shickle of Los Angeles, CA, and Cynthia A. Ruth of Estero, FL, and one granddaughter, Jennifer K. Funari (Mack) of Canastota, NY.
Private services will be held by the family.
