Mary Skidmore Obituary

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mary Cockburn; husband, Earmon "Skid" Skidmore; brothers, Harold Cockburn and Jack Cockburn; sisters, Margaret Williams and Ruth Stinson.
She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and worked at J & J Industries for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Chris Ramsay; sister, Shirley Gribble; brother, Jimmy Cockburn; granddaughter, Taylor Ramsay.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 4:00 pm at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Hasty officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 til the service time at 4:00 pm
Burial will be held in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
