AMSTERDAM - Mary Ellen "Polly" Slezak, 80, died on February 1, 2023. Call, 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Service, 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with a Mass to follow at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 51 N. Pawling St., Hagaman. Masks required. Interment to follow.

Polly and Tony welcome my family into there home on many occasions- Polly was always gracious, warm and thoughtful.
My sons grew up knowing several members of the family - who mirrored this same loving warmth that she demonstrated.
I will always think of her due warm summer days, of picnics and laughter.
Polly truly exemplifies motherhood and family.May she always stay in the Palm of Gods hand.
