Mary Smith Obituary
Mary H. Smith, 87, passed away on January 13, 2026. She was the beloved wife of William R. Smith, devoted mother to Angela (Smith) Thompson, Brendan Smith and the late Cathleen (Smith) D'Antonio and cherished grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield. Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary Smith's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online via https://www.stjude.org/

I am happy to have known, even just a few years, Mary. She was a kindred spirit in nursing and I loved her wonderful wit. I was blessed to be able to support her and Bill during her convalescence in her last months.

I JUST HAPPENED TO CHECK ROWE'S OBITUARIES AND WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT MARY PASSED AWAY. I SEND MY LOVE AND PRAYERS TO BILL AND HIS FAMILY. MARY AND BILL WERE MY GREAT NEIGHBORS AT INDIAN KNOLLS.
SHE IS NOW WALKING IN HEAVEN. RIP MARY JOAN DIGNACCO
