Mary Joan Smith of Terre Haute and formerly of Clinton passed away at the age of 72 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born, March 31, 1953, to Theodore Stuczynski and Frances McDonald Stuczynski in Terre Haute. She worked as a secretary for Sponsler Insurance Agency in Terre Haute. She graduated from Clinton High School with the class of 1971.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband; Darrell Smith (December 2000). Three sisters; Frances Russell, (January 23, 1997), Dorothy Burrall (January 23, 1999), and Theresa Stuczynski (September 7, 2017).
She is survived by one son; Barry R. (Debbie) Lilley of Clinton, one daughter; Jennifer (Kevin) Black of Mississippi. Five grandchildren; Chelseigh, Haleigh, Kasseigh, Corbin and Dylan. One great granddaughter; Braelynn. One sister; Martha Jean Johnson of Texas and several nieces and nephews. Long time companion; David Donaldson of Terre Haute.
Private services will be conducted with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park
