Mary Dinkins Stuart, age 86, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, October 28, 2025, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Ms. Stuart will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Drew Thompson, Bubba Jones, Chandler Harrison, Mike Stuart, Ray Milliner, and Mark Whittaker serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will be receiving friends at the home of her granddaughter, Ansley and Drew Thompson.
Ms. Stuart was born in Leesburg, GA on May 11, 1939, to Isom Victor Dinkins and Ruby Estelle Barfield Dinkins. She was a high school graduate and worked for a number of years as a legal secretary. As long as her health allowed, Ms. Mary enjoyed fishing and cooking for her family. It was a standing date on Saturday for the family to get together to spend time with each other and eat some of her “home cooking”.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Vic Stuart and wife Pam and Yvonne Jones and husband Bubba; her sisters, Mattie Lou Bindley and Doris Vickers; and her daughter-in-law, Sara Stuart. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ansley Thompson and husband Drew, Marci Harrison and husband Jarrod, Jennifer Whittaker and husband Mark, and Ashley White and husband Chad, Emily Swearingan and husband David; her great grandchildren, Chelsa Godwin and husband Cody, Katina Womble and husband Hunter, Haley Whittaker, Zane White and wife Makaelyn, Brayden White, Chandler Harrison, Madalynn Harrison, Maeson Harrison, Carleigh Thompson, Dagen Bennett, and Gracyn Bennett; as well as 3 great great grandchildren.
Ms. Stuart was preceded in death by her parents, Isom Victor and Ruby Estelle Barfield Dinkins; her husband, Morris “Shine” Stuart; her son, Ken Stuart; her daughter-in-law, Carla Stuart; and a great grandchild, Hannah Grace Harrison.
