Mary Frances Marsingill Tatum, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Donalsonville Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tatum will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Donalsonville Church of God with Pastor Larry Daughtry, Pastor Phillip Kirkland, and Pastor Tim Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakview Church of God Cemetery with Jake Page, Matthew Helms, Isaac Long, Heath Harrison, Christian Albritton, and Michael Albritton serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the church.
Mrs. Tatum was born in Buford, GA on January 1, 1945, to Hubert and Lois Knight Marsingill. She was a homemaker and member of Donalsonville Church of God. Mrs. Tatum enjoyed spending time with her family, making memories with them. Her grandchildren, and her great grandchild, Jarret, were the “apples of her eyes”; she loved them immensely. Mrs. Tatum held her church family close to her heart and loved them very much. Singing in the church choir was one of her greatest enjoyments.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Rev. Joseph Tatum; her children, Chris Tatum and wife Carrie, Rev. Tim Tatum and wife Ann, and Michelle Helms and husband Joey; her grandchildren, Dillon Helms and wife Caycee, Jessica Page and husband Jake, Matthew Helms, and Madison Helms; as well as her great grandchild, Jarret Page. Also surviving are her sister, Norma Orr and husband Stan and several nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Tatum was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Lois Knight Marsingill, as well as her siblings, Hazel Pirkle, Larry Marsingill, David Marsingill, and Phyllis Hansard.
