Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Lou Taylor, 94, of Monroe, LA, will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Bible Missionary Church in Monroe with Rev. Rodger Moyer, Rev. Kyle Wonn, and Rev. Ben Dowd officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 16, 1928 and passed away on May 22, 2023. She was a faithful member of Bible Missionary Church, every time the doors were open, she was there. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed cooking, entertaining, shopping, attending garage sales, thrift shopping, and drinking Dr. Pepper. She was a farmer's wife, who farmed cotton for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Estelle Bullock Dowd; husband, Sam Wesley Taylor; son, Kenneth Wesley Taylor; grandson, Byron Wayne Mayeux; great-grandson, Chance Pruett; and siblings, RB Dowd, Janie Pippins, Ronald Dean Dowd, and Mildred Lois Neal.
Survivors include three children, LaNelda Moyer and husband Rodger, Carol Mayeux, and Paul Taylor and wife Lynn; seven grandchildren, LeAnne Sedekum and husband Butch, Dwight Moyer and wife Melody, Jennifer Taylor, Brent Mayeux, Julie Newsom and husband Jack, Nathan Taylor, and Teresa Lafferty and husband Derrick; 19 great-grandchildren, Trent, Shawna, Travis, Shaylee, Leah, Anna, Dayna, Joshua, Amy, Sage, Reese, Britley, Callie, Zachary, Brooklynn, Camden, Luke, Natalie, and Kyndell; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Dowd and wife Joyce and Ben Dowd and wife Sandy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Taylor, Dwight Moyer, Joshua Moyer, Trent Pruett, Brent Mayeux, and Danny Neal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffery Dowd and Travis Pruett.
Memorials may be made to Bible Missionary Church.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Bible Missionary Church.
