ALBANY, NY — Mary “Vicki” Townsend, 75, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Born on December 30, 1950, in Albany, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Fredrick and Rita Boyzer.
Vicki spent most of her life in the Capital Region, where she worked at a variety of jobs throughout the Albany area. Above all, she was known for her remarkable ability to make quick friends with almost everyone she met. Her warm smile, easy laugh, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: sons David Littlebrook and his wife Sarah, Donald Littlebrook and his wife Karolyn, Rob LaJoy and his wife Jennifer, and daughter Kelly Zoller and her husband Steve; surrogate son Michael “MetroMike” Reinhart; her siblings: Fredrick, William, Danny, David, Joey, Dale, Freddie, Janie, and Katherine; and her late siblings Helen and Victor. She is also survived by grandchildren Christian, Gavin, Teressa, Justin, Madeline, and Andrea; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her greatly. Among her closest friends were Patricia Balls-Squarez and Mabel Leak.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189, followed immediately by parting words from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Vicki’s family invites all who knew and loved her to come celebrate a life well lived, filled with friendship, laughter, and the many connections she so easily made.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that acts of kindness in Vicki’s memory—especially reaching out to make a new friend or reconnect to an old—be the greatest tribute.
