Mary Ellen Trow

Mary Ellen Trow of Hatboro PA peacefully passed away on February 10, 2026 at home. She was 83 years old. Mary Ellen was the beloved wife of James Trow Jr. with whom she had shared 57 years of marriage. She was born in Philadelphia PA. She was the daughter of the late James Francis Gaughan Sr and late Mary Agnes (Rowan) Gaughan.

Mary Ellen was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School. She attended and graduated from West Chester College and obtained her Masters Degree. Mary Ellen was an elementary school teacher retiring from Wissahickon School District. She loved to travel, shop and decorate but most of all loved and enjoyed time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband James Trow Jr, Mary Ellen was survived by her son James T Trow and his wife Salina (Nace) Trow. Granddaughters Ashley (Trow) Adkins and Tiffani (Trow) Arcaro and her husband David. Great grandchildren Caroline and George. She was preceded in death by her brother James Francis Gaughan Jr and nephew James Francis Gaughan III.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday February 19, 2026 after 10am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd, Hatboro PA and to attend her Prayer Service at 11am. Her interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Cheltenham Township PA.
