Jo Easley, 92, passed away peacefully at Lampstand Nursing Home in College Station, TX. She is once again reunited with her loving husband of 49 years, James Edward "Ed" Easley.Jo was a faithful and devoted Christian, attending and supporting Assembly of God and Baptist churches. One of her favorite activities was attending bible studies, especially inter-faith studies. Jo loved sharing her faith and learning different perspectives and understandings of scriptures. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, plants, birds, and being in nature.Jo was a registered nurse, obtaining her nursing certificate in 1952. After retiring from full-time work, she took on nursing duties for the family. God led Ed and Jo to Covington, where the "apartment" in their home became a recovery and temporary home for numerous family members.Jo was born in Trenton, TN to Floyd and Marie (Smith) Turner. Her children are Michael Lee (Darleene) Easley of Hohenwald, TN and Michelle Marie Easley Delk of College Station, TX. Her Grandchildren are Crystal Lee Easley of Hohenwald, TN, Aaron Keith (Emilie) Easley of Spring Hill, TN and Matthew Lee Delk of Lockhart, TX. Her Great Grandchildren are Christopher Swader, Anne Marie Easley and Michael Patrick Easley.Jo was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Charles David (Martha) Turner and Donald Ray (Patricia) Turner, her sister-in-law Martha Turner, her grandson Michael Sean Easley, and her great grandchildren Allen and Brianna Swader.A celebration of life service will be held at Maley-Yarbrough on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10:00am. The family will receive guests an hour prior. Jo's cremains will be buried privately at Covington Memorial Gardens.
