Mary L. Vincent

Mary (Menken) Vincent, 77, of Holland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. Mary approached life with intellect, discipline, and an enduring curiosity that shaped both her work and her family life. She met the love of her life, Dave Joseph Vincent, while they were students at West Ottawa High School. They were married on July 16, 1966, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Holland, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and family. As an adult, Mary attended Hope College, where she double-majored in Biology and Computer Science, graduating with honors and induction into Phi Beta Kappa. She later earned her master's degree from Western Michigan University and built a successful career in information technology and project management. Mary spent many years at Haworth and later at the University of Notre Dame, where she managed technology projects supporting academic and administrative initiatives. Creative as well as accomplished, Mary sewed clothing and Halloween costumes for her children, found joy in cooking new cuisines, and had a refined eye for interior design. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Vincent; her brother, Robert Menken; and her parents, George and Ruth Menken. She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Vincent (Jeff Ingold); her son, Adam Vincent (Kate Vincent); her grandchildren, Ava and Rowan Ingold and Veronica Vincent; and her brothers, Michael Menken and George Menken.
