Sparta, Illinois - Mary Elizabeth Caroline Viner, nee Schmoll, 94, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, July 31, 1931, in Evansville, IL, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, IL.
Mary worked as a school secretary at Douglas Elementary School. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Swansea, IL. She loved traveling with Jack, to Dollywood and Alaska. She also loved auto racing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack P. Viner, parents, Louis and Thekla, nee Schaffner, Schmoll; sister, Mabel Degenhardt; and nephew, Jeff Schmoll.
Surviving are her brothers, Paul (Joyce) Schmoll of Evansville, IL, Ralph Schmoll (Margaret) of Quincy, IL; nieces and nephews, Karen Strong, Kevin (Christine) Schmoll, Kenneth (Julie) Schmoll, Kurt (Erin) Schmoll, Jamie Suchy, Vicki Schmoll, Jay Schmoll; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all over the country.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Westview Baptist Church or Maple Creek Hospice in Sparta, IL.
Visitation: Visitation was from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Services: Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Ratliff officiating. Private Entombment at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Belleville, IL.
