Mary Theresa Wade

Mary Theresa Wade, age 59, passed away November 6, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor Campus. She was born August 6, 1966, to Carl and Jane (Mezeske) Wade in Muskegon, MI. Theresa, as she was known, grew up in the Muskegon area and received her master's degree from Baker College.
Theresa found pleasure in music and art, attending many festivals in the area. In recent years, she grew to love the mountains and enjoyed traveling to National Parks, as well as going on walks with her dog, Mina. She loved the beach, and specifically, Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon. Theresa was an avid reader, with Stephen King and Anne Rice among her favorite authors. She had a passion for helping and teaching children. What she cherished most, however, was spending time with her son and grandchildren.
Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her son, Zackrie (Amberleigh) Wade; two grandchildren, Joseph and Daniel Wade; two brothers, Shaun (Kimberly) Wade, and Timothy (Karen) Wade; two sisters, Mara Wade, and Laurie (Joseph Donna) Wade; two nieces, Brianne Wade, and Kirstyn Wade; one nephew, Nathan Wade; and her beloved service dog, Mina. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Kenneth Ober.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 21, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, cards, etc. - memorial contributions can be made in her name to The Spina Bifida Association (https://www.spinabifidaassociation.org/).
