Mary Wallin Obituary
Mary Margaret Wallin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away September 20, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 82. She was born June 2, 1943, in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Burke O'Brien. Mary lived in Mountain Home since moving from Rantoul, Illinois, in 1997. She was a member of the Alley-White American Legion Auxillary and carried a deep love for her country. She enjoyed bingo, attending get together's of all kinds, and was an avid reader. Mary especially enjoyed spending time with her friends. She had a generous heart and loved life.
Mary is survived by her son, James Foster; daughter, Ann Foster; grandchildren, Madeleine, Emma, Graciela, and Fiona; dear friends, Roxi and Jerry Maple of Mountain Home, AR; and her bonus family, Jennifer (Johnnie) Burkhart and their children, Cameron, Blake, and Abigail, and Brianna O'Connell and her son, Canaan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Wallin; brother, Raymond Edward O'Brien; and sister, Ellen O'Brien.
A Celebration of Life for Mary will be 6:00 pm, Monday, September 29, 2025, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Stacy Morgan officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas, 2656 Hwy 201 N, Mountain Home, AR, 72653.
