Mary LaVonne Webber was born December 23, 1934, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of William and Mary (Stout) Peyton. She married Harry Webber on December 23, 1951, in Waterloo, he preceded her in death on September 10, 1990. Mary worked at Elks Club alongside her husband for many years. She worked at Knights of Columbus. Mary was the manager of food service at Hawkeye Community College. After retirement, she did catering and taught cooking lessons. Mary volunteered with Cedar Valley Hospice on the Committee for Social Support. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and gardening. Mary also held her family and church family very close.
Mary passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Ridgeview Assisted Living in Cedar Rapids, at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; son, Dennis Webber; daughter, Julie Niedermann; granddaughter, Shelly Usher; great-granddaughter, Rayn; two brothers, Bob Peyton and Mike Peyton and a special friend, Robert Miller. Mary is survived by a son, Marc (Carrie) Webber of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Sue Frickson of Hardy, Arkansas and Jo (Jim) Donar of Marion; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ione Abkes of Waterloo; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Peyton of Waterloo and a friend, Cathy Webber of Waterloo.
Visitation: Friday, March 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.
Funeral Service: Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories.
Burial immediately following at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.
