Mary Jane Wheeler Dephue, age 91, of Dacula, GA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 14, 2025.
She is survived by her son, Donald R. Foster (Mary) and daughters, Donna J. Gregory, Deborah K. Russell (Jimmy) and Janet L. Scott (Matthew).
Grandchildren, Jeremiah J. L. Foster, Joshua L. Koger (Melisa), Christopher J. Russell (Brooke), Kristian R. Chingo (Scott), Jessica A. Martin (Scott) and Lindsay R. Rooney (Michael). Step-grandchild, Amanda M. Luehmann (Christopher); sixteen great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Thomas Wheeler and Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Robas. Her brother, Roy Thomas Wheeler, Jr., husbands, Donald Elton Taylor, James Kenneth Foster and David Lee Dephue and her son, Thomas Henry Taylor.
She was born in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana on January 27, 1934 where she lived until marrying James Foster on June, 16, 1956. They moved to Fortville to raise their family. She worked at RCA in Indianapolis before moving to Georgia in May of 1988. She worked for The Falcon Inn, Lovable, Gwinnett County Public Schools and Wal-Mart prior to retiring in 1999. In 2000 she returned to Wal-Mart as a part-time Greeter until 2002 when she fully retired.
She was a generous and caring person who loved her family dearly. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports, family gatherings, football and NASCAR.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor the life of Mary Jane will be held at a later date.
