Jonesboro- Mary Evelyn Williams of Jonesboro, Arkansas, 90, passed on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Flo and Phil Hospice House. Born in Marked Tree on February 20, 1935, to the late Ike Newton and Mary Luster Williams, Mary lived a life defined by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.

She retired from Lincoln Manufacturing Company after many years of dedicated work. Prior to that, she served as a waitress, where her warmth and work ethic left lasting impressions. A faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, Mary attended services regularly until she could no longer drive, and her commitment to her church family remained strong throughout her life.

Mary found joy in visiting her sister, nieces, and nephews, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her home, affectionately known as "Big Grandma's," was a place of comfort, especially when she cooked her signature noodles and canned asparagus with krab and melted butter. She believed deeply in fairness and love, often saying, "What you do for one child, you do for all your children."

She is survived by her son Terry Williams (Julie); daughter-in-law Debbie Williams; granddaughter Jenifer Caples (Casey); grandsons Jacob Williams (Whitney) and Ryan Williams (Anna); great-granddaughter Aryanna Williams and Olivia Caples; great-grandsons; Cason Williams, Lucas Connors and Tanner Laird; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins who meant a great deal to her.

Mary was preceded in death by her sons Mike Williams and Ronnie Williams; brothers Herbert Williams, Raymond Williams, and Kenneth Williams; and sisters Phillis Young and Neta Jean Williams.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mitch Doss officiating. Pallbearers honored to serve are Jacob Williams, Ryan Williams, John Keller, Aaron Keller, Tanner Laird, and Casey Caples.

Mary Evelyn Williams will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle wisdom, and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind.
