Mary Wisniewski Obituary

Visit the Allen Memorial Home - Endicott website to view the full obituary.
Mary Ellen Wisniewski, 73, of Maine, New York, lived a life rooted in love and friendship.
Born on November 28, 1953, in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY, Mary carried into this world a heart that never stopped expanding. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Eleanor Texter, who preceded her in death. The values of loyalty, family, and kindness that shaped her life began in that home and stayed with her always.
If you met Mary, you were no longer a stranger - you were her friend. That was simply who she was. She had a natural gift for connection, for making people feel seen, welcomed, and included. Her friendships were never casual; they were loyal, lasting, and deeply cherished.
Mary loved her family with her whole heart. Her greatest joy was her husband, Michael; her son, Bill (Salena) Sachman; her daughter, Katie Sachman; her stepchildren, Mark (Kyrsten)Wisniewski and Michelle (Jeff) Mander; and especially her beloved grandchildren, Anna Sachman and Carter Sachman, whom she cherished deeply. Time spent with them brought her a special kind of happiness - the kind that lit up her whole face.
She is also survived by her siblings: William (Jackie) Texter, Helen McGovern, Loretta Texter, Lawrence (Tammy) Texter, Eleanor (Paul) Ruzzo, Teresa (Mike) Rosato, and Kathleen (Steve) Barckley. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Leonard Texter.
Mary built her life around devotion, laughter, shared meals, and long conversations. Love was not something she spoke about lightly - it was something she lived, generously and without hesitation.
She found happiness in the everyday rhythms of life. She even loved cutting the grass, taking pride in her home and tending to what she cared about. There was something beautifully Mary about that - nurturing, steady, and quietly faithful.
Even in illness, Mary's spirit has remained defined by the same love and courage that marked her entire life. She reminds those around her that what matters most is presence, kindness, and the bonds we build with one another.
Mary Ellen Wisniewski's life is measured not simply in years, but in friendships formed, love given freely, and the countless lives she has touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Funeral Services will be held 10 am, Friday, April 10 at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday, April 9, from 4 to 7 pm.
