MaryAnn Duginski (nee Mackey), age 82, a resident of Woodridge, IL since 1991, formerly of Chicago and Addison, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at her home. She was born on December 14, 1941, in Chicago.
Beloved wife of David P. Duginski, whom she met when she was 15 years old and married on November 17, 1962, loving mother of David (Megan) Duginski of South Elgin, IL, Dara (the late Ronald II "Ron") Simek of Naperville, IL and Debra (Andrew) Cecere of Chicago, adored grandmother of Paige, Collin (Kayla), Danny, Brennan, Michael, Brigid, El and Sydney, cherished great-grandmother of Harper and Kai, devoted daughter of the late Raymond and Kathryn (nee Donohue) Mackey, dear twin sister of Martha (Richard) Reszel and sister of Kathy (Mike) Rowan, Eileen (Tom) Krippel and Janet (Bob) Denk, daughter-in-law of the late Florian and Helen Duginski, sister-in-law of Joanne (Ted) Keskey, fond cousin, aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt and friend of many.
MaryAnn grew up in Chicago's St. Sabina's Parish and later moved with her family to Chicago's Mount Greenwood neighborhood in St. Christina's Parish. She was a 1959 graduate of Mercy High School in Chicago.
MaryAnn was a longtime member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Lisle and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Addison. She will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker who loved, cared for and prayed for everyone she encountered.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Kingston & Front Streets, Lisle, IL 60532, (630) 963-4500.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 AM in the church.
A chapel service will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip, IL 60803, (708) 422-3020. Everyone will meet on Wednesday, at 1:30 PM inside the cemetery gates.
