Maryana Collins Kimball, born on January 26, 1949, in Nederland, Texas, departed this world peacefully on June 7, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy defined by her enormous heart, her unwavering loyalty, and a spirit that brought joy to those around her. Maryana cherished her family deeply, finding her greatest happiness in the company of her loved ones.
Maryana dedicated herself to a career at Spindletop (MHMR) in the IT department. She was known for her professional excellence and also for her delightful sense of humor, with a knack for bringing laughter into every room. Her ability to lighten the mood and share a smile was a hallmark of her character, endearing her to many.
An avid bowler, Maryana spent over 40 years immersed in her beloved bowling league, a testament to her passion for the sport. She relished the experiences offered by travel, where she made memories that would last a lifetime. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter made her a cherished friend and family member.
Maryana is survived by her daughter, Lisa Liburd and her husband, Ishmael of Beaumont; her son, Tim Johnson of Port Arthur; and her beloved furpup, Levi. She was the proud grandmother to Camryn Kennon and his wife, Catherine, Zackary Kennon, Ashleigh Davis and her husband, Joe, Dalton Johnson and his wife, Crystal, and Cassie Johnson, and was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren: Clover, Calloway, Cillian, Samson, Trey, Monroe, Emily, Natalie, Caleb, Brandy, Brooklyn, Anahe, Lilliana, and Bella. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Patsy Ronquille and Donna McCormick, as well as her brother, David Collins.
Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Arnal and Dorothy P. Collins, whose love and values shaped the remarkable woman Maryana would become.
A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on June 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas 77627. This occasion will be an opportunity for family and friends to honor her memory and cherish the moments they shared with her beginning at 12:00 p.m. Maryana Collins Kimball will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will remain forever alive in the hearts of those who loved her.
