Maryann S. Zerbe, 79, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away on Sept. 18, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born April 12, 1946, in Elkhart to Charles and Mary (Yoder) Bailey.
A graduate of Concord High School in 1964 she also attended Manchester College where she met her husband John.
On June 19, 1966, she married John Zerbe in Elkhart. She is survived by her children, Angela (Scott) Harney of Elkhart and Todd (Christi) Zerbe of Noblesville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Bailey.
Maryann retired from a career in marketing at Salem Insurance. She was a lifelong member of Creekside Church of the Brethren, where she was the chair of the worship team as well as playing the piano. She also was the chair of the planning committee for the new church building in 2005.
She was active in the Elkhart County Extension Homemakers for 55 years, a member of the Four Seasons Club, and involved in the 4-H Fair. Maryann enjoyed quilting, floral arranging, and for the last 30 years, made Christmas candy with her family, sharing it generously each year.
Time with her family was very important to her; she took great interest in attending her grandchildren's events and celebrating their achievements and most recently her great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service at Creekside Church of the Brethren. Cremation will take place per her wishes

We met Maryann and John through Bent Oak Golf Club. We had many good years playing golf together and taking golfing adventures to other places. Our group would take turns hosting dinner and we always looked forward to Maryann´s turn because she was such a good cook. Thoughts and prayers are with John and family
