MaryAnne Bailey was born to William & Bessie Cepak Bumpus on February 4, 1949 in Dallas, Texas. She was called to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas after being in ICU for 19 days.

She graduated from high school in 1967 at Bishop Lynch in Dallas and started to work right afterward.

MaryAnne met the love of her life, Larry Wayne Bailey, at a 7-11 store in Dallas. She was working at Youngbloods Chicken as a waitress at the time and drove a '65 Valiant Standard on the column (if you know what that means). They married on January 13, 1969, and had two sons, Paul Gene and Christoper Keith.

MaryAnne worked for various insurance companies doing claims auditing throughout the years. She retired in 2001.

Her favorite character is Betty Boop of which she had many, many items of around the house. Her favorite singers were Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton and the Beach Boys. She could never get enough of Elvis; she took at least 4 trips to Graceland. Her favorite food was a medium rare steak.

One of her many hobbies was yard work and gardening. This gave her such pleasure, which gave her neighborhood awards on various occasions.

She didn't seem like she could get enough yard work of her own, so she did her neighbors as well. Her garden produced the best vegetables ever and was shared by many that enjoyed it.

MaryAnne was preceded in death by her parents William & Bessie Bumpus, brother, Bobby. In-law parents, Haskell & Margaret Bailey; Brother-In-Law, Jimmy McCurdy.

MaryAnne is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Larry Bailey; sons, Paul Gene Bailey of Mesquite and Chris Bailey and fiancé Tammy Hidrogo of Mesquite. Grandchildren: Justin Bailey and wife Keeley of Louisville, Kentucky: Brianna Smallwood and husband, Chase of Greenville, Texas; Josalyn & Dalton Bailey of Garland, Texas and Johnnie Hidrogo of Mesquite, Texas.

Great grandchildren: Brantley, Hudson & Brylee Smallwood, Kaison & Crew Bailey, Michael, Rylan & Wesley.

Loving neighbors of 50 years: Bobby Jack & Tonda Shires and Brenda Christian and many friends of the family are so loved and treasured.
