Marybeth Mahoney

Marybeth Mahoney, aged 58, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, June 20, 2021. Born in Boston, February 3, 1963, she spent her early years in Norwell, before moving to Halifax. Marybeth was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School. She received her RN from Massasoit Community College. She began her 35 year nursing career at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton, and spent the last 20 years at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. As a member of a large family, Marybeth enjoyed many family gatherings with her Mahoney and Reardon aunts, uncles, and cousins. Marybeth is survived by her adoring parents, Rita and Robert Mahoney Sr. of Halifax; and loving siblings Theresa Conway of Halifax, Robert Mahoney Jr. and his wife Gay of Fortville, IN, Helen Lifrieri of Raynham, and Robert Lifrieri of Hanson, Colleen Mahoney of Bridgewater, and Sean Mahoney and his wife Maura of South Boston. Also survived by nieces and nephews Jacquelyn MacDougall, Matthew Mahoney, Meghan Mahoney, Taylor Lifrieri, Robert Mahoney III, Shealynn Conway, and Bailee Lifrieri; and grand- niece and grand-nephew Matthew Mahoney Jr. and Maci Mahoney. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte. 14 & 58, in Hanson, on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, at 9 a.m., at Holy Apostles Parish (St. Joseph the Worker Church), 1 Maquan St., Rte. 14, in Hanson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marybeth's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
