Marybeth White

Marybeth White passed away in Victoria, TX on February 14, 2025, after a brief illness. Marybeth was born on March 3, 1960, in Cambridge, MA and was the beloved eldest daughter of the late William A. White Jr and Barbara A (McSweeney) White. Marybeth graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1977 and went on to attend Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett, NH and Rivier College in Nashua, NH. Marybeth was an expert at handicrafts, adept at macrame, embroidery and sewing. Her family recalls the beautiful Raggedy Ann dolls she would churn out with ease, as well as the embroidery scenes she would add to her and her sisters clothing. She enjoyed a big bowl of spaghetti (butter only) and was never without her cup of tea. Crossword puzzles and Sudoku were no match for her. Never one for the cold, she moved to Ocala FL where she met her soulmate, Roger Wissinger. She and Roger married and moved to Victoria, TX where together they enjoyed many adventures riding their motorcycles around the country with friends. She and Roger were very active with the American Legion Riders Post 166 in Victoria, TX where Marybeth was probably their biggest fundraiser and most supportive member. Sadly, she lost Roger in 2022. Marybeth will be deeply missed by her brother and sisters: William A White III (Alison) and sons William IV and Laurence, Carolyn Nye (Mike) and children Eamonn and Eilish, Dorothy White and children Leddy and Liam, Barbara Roberts (Dean) and daughter Maria, Andrea Wilkins and children Connor, Michael and Mackenzie, Margaret Ellen White and son John, and Jennifer Galoski (Peter) and sons Henry, Harris and Hewitt. Marybeth will also be greatly missed by Roger's stepson Craig Lake and her great friend John Williams. Services will take place in Victoria, TX where she will be laid to rest with Roger. Marybeth and Roger are now reunited and are probably planning their next adventures.
