I am saddened to hear of Mary Jos passing. She was a colleague of mine in the CSC for many years. My abiding memory of her, is her impressive knowledge on so many topics. A conversation with Mary Jo always left you both better informed and a bit more curious. Be at peace dear friend, the world is a better place because you were here. I wish her family peace and comfort in this sad time.

MaryJo was a regular at her local public library, where she made friends of myself and many of the other staff. Her erudition and support of public libraries and education ennobled those around her. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to her family.

I sang with Mary Jo in both the William Ferris Chorale and the Chicago Symphony Chorus. Plus we shared passions about other topics and people including Elizabeth Kubler Ross, historic cemeteries, Winnie the Pooh, Ella Jenkins and her beloved Madeline L'Engle. Such an amazing woman. I was lucky to have had her in my life.

I remember riding to and from rehearsals many many times with MaryJo. She was one of a kind. Her personality was strong and I am sure God is listening to her right now.
