Dear Families,
Our hearts go out to each and everyone of you and your families. After hearing the news of the crash we as a department wanted to honor those brave Emergency workers and the crash victim. In there honor and out of respect we drapped the black sheet out in front of our department and had a moment of silence.

I do not know any of the victims or the families but I felt compelled to sign the guestbok. There are no words of comfort that I can think of that will take away the pain of your losses. I have and will continue to pray for family and friends and all that were touched by this terrible accident.

Victims Family,
May God give you all endurance.
He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

To the families and friends of the
crash victims. I was saddened to
hear of the loss of your dear loved
ones. All of them were so brave to
be out there risking their lives in order to save others.
However, there is hope for our loved
ones who have passed and are no
longer with us. At John 17:3, Jesus
said, "This means everlasting life,
their taking in knowledge of you, the
only true God, and the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."
But in order to receive everlasting
life, one must be resurrected if they
are sleeping in death. When Jesus'
friend Lazarus took sick and died,
Jesus out of love, resurrected him.
When you get the opportunity, read
what Jesus said in the book of John
the 11 chapter, verses 32, & 38-45.
After reading these verses, you will see that putting faith in Jesus the son of God, that anything is possible, even being resurrected once you have died.
I hope these thoughts will bring you
and all the families some comfort.
P. James

To the families of the Victims:
I offer my sincere condolences at the loss of your dear loved ones, through prayer, I would like to urge you to “throw your burden on God himself, and he himself will sustain you.” (Psalm 55:22) Pouring out your heart to the God of all comfort will certainly help all of you during this difficult time.

Please accept our condolences to each of the families involved. What a great loss you have suffered. However, hope can be found in the promises contained in the Bible. One such promise was given by Jesus at John 5:28, where he said, "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." It can be very encouraging to meditate on those words.
Comforting also are the words of Phillippians 4:6,7: "...in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." May prayer to our Heavenly Father also give you the strength you need to endure this time of grief.

Remember too, that our Heavenly Father will give you strength to endure and get through this difficult time. "Trust in Him at all times. O people. Before him pour out you heart. No matter who we are, no matter where we live, we all in one way or another have been affected by this terrible tragedy. We've witnessed innocent people suffer and lose their lives. But what can comfort us, even in this dark hour is trusting in God knowing..."He will deliver the poor one crying for help, also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one, and the souls of the poor ones he will save."(Psalms 72:12,13) I pray that this offers comfort to all who may have lost someone.

MAY ALL THE SOULS REST IN PEACE
Virginia Hoge Williams
September 28, 2008
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
