MaryLou Bacci, (nee Leibensperger), was born on October 11, 1932 to Raymond and Elizabeth (Smoliga) Leibensperger in Trenton, NJ. She graduated from Hamilton High and then attended nursing school in Jersey City for one year before marrying and raising her family on Staten Island.
She later worked for the Bank of New York in lower Manhattan. While living on Staten Island, MaryLou was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace in New Dorp, where she eventually joined the choir
She enjoyed seeing Broadway shows and attending the theater at Wagner College.
She resided at Bayshore Manor in Keansburg, NJ for the past 9 years.
MaryLou was pre-deceased by her parents, her brother Raymond and several nephews and cousins.
She is survived by her three children, Susan (Allen) Adams, Dr. Elaine Bacci, Donald (Deborah) Bacci, her grandchildren Melanie Adams Blackwell, Jaqui Adams Dellaria, Thomas Bacci and Jaymie Bacci and her great-grandsons Charlie Dellaria and Jaxson Dellaria. MaryLou is also survived by her three sisters, Joyce Guilfoy, Audrey Foley and Elizabeth Persing.
Friends may call at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane on Sunday and Monday, October 27 and 28, from 4:00 - 8:00. Funeral mass to be from Our Lady Queen of Peace, 61 New Dorp Lane at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, October 29.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Saint Jude Childrens' Hospital.
