Marylou (Mattei) Boguniecki, 78, of Milford, died on November 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Haven on January 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Anthony and Julie (Rubino) Mattei. Survived by her husband of 58 years, William "Bill" Boguniecki; sons William "Bill" (Maria) Jr. and Eric (Elizabeth) Boguniecki; grandchildren Lea, Jon, Eva, Hadley, Paige and Jake; as well as sister Gail Celentano.

A quintessential "people person," Marylou was warm, sociable, and could share a lively conversation with just about anyone. She loved casino trips, sports - especially hockey, football and baseball - and held a special place in her heart for all animals. Marylou was happiest when surrounded by her beloved family. She took immense pride in her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Known as the backbone of the family, she was its foundation. Embodying what it truly meant to be a Boguniecki and caring for one another. Marylou had a huge heart and shared her kindness and thoughtfulness with everyone in her life. Her bright smile and contagious laughter brought light to every gathering and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 2 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, Connecticut.
